WILMA: Bling It On!

In the April edition of WILMA, we focused on the art of accessorizing and piling on the jewelry. I was particularly a fan of this shoot because I was able to feature tons of pieces from local and regional designers such as Vint, Half United and local boutique Ziabird and Tickled Pink, both of which offer tons of independent designer finds.

Check out the full article and take a peak at some of the images below. Photos were taken by Ben Minor.

Trunk Show: Bellanca Boutique

It's not very often that we get a high end trunk show in Fayetteville. So imagine my excitement when I heard that the Virginia-based Bellanca Boutique was hosting a show at the Huske Hardware House in downtown Fayetteville.

The owner Regina C. White is a Fayetteville native and an accessories designer in her own right. Aside from offering her own earthy jewelry and handbags, White's chic boutique also sells garments and fun avant-garde accessories by the likes of designer Jenine Cotrice Addison ("Project Accessory").

I was a sucker for White's awesome speckled feather earrings! I had no choice but to buy them!

Best of all, White doesn't replicate her designs, so you're always getting a one-of-a-kind piece.

Be sure to check out her online boutique at BellancaBoutique.com. I know I will!

Stylish Steal: Feather Earrings

I have a thing for gaudy jewelry. The bigger, the better!
So naturally, when I saw these long feather earrings at Gullah Girl Boutique in Fayetteville, I had to have them!
Feathers are a big trend this season, but finding a pair of super long earrings - that didn't look cheap - proved to be challenging.  Thankfully, I came across this pair and paid only $19 for them!

Fall Inspiration

I saw this impressive leopard-print handbag at New York & Company yesterday and had to pick it up.

It screams Fall, but it's not so trendy that I'll want to toss it by next season. The only problem I have is that it's not as large as I'd prefer it to be. I tend to tote around large hobo bags that can hold my work equipment (i.e. notepad, camera, camcorder, etc.), but it may be a perfectly acceptable size for most fashionistas, just not me.

Nonetheless, this bag was too cute to pass up, and the price was definitely right! So I purchased the brown and black version.
